“…All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” – Matthew 28:18 (NIV)
Imagine receiving an invitation to a leadership conference where the most influential and powerful leaders gather to share their expertise and vision. You arrive at the venue, and as you step into the conference hall, you’re greeted by an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation. You show up with a posture to:
- Lead people with purpose and passion
- Capture markets, industries, and countries with innovative ideas and strategies
- Solve complex problems and make a lasting impact
Have you ever considered the posture you bring to church and ministry activities? Do you show up with a sense of determination, ready to learn and take action?
The church is not just a social club or a place for casual gatherings; it’s a powerhouse where the Spirit and Presence of God dwells, where we learn at the feet of Jesus.
When we show up to church, we’re not just attending a meeting; we’re checking in to renew our faith, where we’re equipped and empowered to:
- Lead people to Christ and disciple them (Matthew 28:19-20).
- Capture markets, industries, and countries with the Gospel of truth, being salt and light in the world (Matthew 5:13-16).
- Solve problems and bring hope, healing, and restoration to those in need (Isaiah 61:1-3).
As we check into the powerhouse of God in 2026, let’s remember that we’re not just attending a service; we’re participating in a divine mandate. Show up with:
- Faith, i.e., trusting in God’s power and authority.
- Courage, i.e., stepping out in faith to serve and obey.
- Willingness, i.e., being open to God’s leading and guidance.
Let us also renew our focus on:
- Discipleship: Equipping believers to lead others and make disciples.
- Evangelism: Sharing the Gospel with our communities and beyond.
- Service: Meeting the physical and spiritual needs of those around us.
During this season of fasting and prayer, let us check in and draw near to God with expectation, humility, and a willingness to be used by Him.
