God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.
John. 4:24 – KJV
The act of praise and the act of worship serve two separate and distinct purposes and should not be used interchangeably. We should not say let us worship the Lord, Hallelujah – which represents the highest note of praise. Only the soul can praise God, but worship requires an act of our spirit. This distinction is noted in Luke Chapter 1: 46-47, And Mary said: My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour”, (NIV).
We must know brethren that the act of praising God is not seasonal. In other words, praising God should not be dependent on whether you are in a crisis. David declared, “I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth” (Psalm 34:1 – KJV). This must be our posture as well, no matter the situation.
God is not a ‘fair-weather’ friend. He will be with you in good times and in bad times. Whenever you are surrounded by your enemies who are planning and plotting your demise, God’s Word declares, “…Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you, He will never leave you nor forsake you”(Deuteronomy 31:6) (NIV). Let’s worship the Lord daily so that we can continually cultivate His presence in our lives.
Throughout the course of the crisis praise, pray, worship, and call upon Jehovah God and He will deliver you from the wiles of the enemy, and the powers of darkness. Every time we conquer the enemy, we find purpose in what we have come through.
Prioritising our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ and secondly, our relationships with our brethren will determine whether we will conquer or crumble in the midst of a crisis. Let’s pray.
PRAYER
Almighty God, we humbly approach Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth and ask for Your divine intervention in this crisis situation, (name it). In accordance with Your Word in Luke Chapter 10:19, You have given us authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and over all the powers of the enemy; nothing by any means will harm us.
In the name of Jesus, we take authority over every agenda of the devil and his cohorts to cause stagnation and setback over our job/business and/or Ministry and we dispel the works of darkness with the consuming fire of the Holy Ghost and the Blood of Jesus.
Every evil generational foundation that we have inherited and/or any sins we may have committed that gives unfettered access to our lives, we repent on behalf of our fore-parents and on our own behalf and we destroy these evil generational foundations with the fire of the Holy Ghost and seal these portals of access with the Blood of Jesus. Amen!
