Preach God’s Word

“So then, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message comes through preaching Christ.” – Romans 10:17 (GNT)

Beloved, Scripture tells us, “For it is by our faith that we are put right with God; it is by our confession we are saved.” – Romans 10:10 (GNT), and, “To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot see.” – Hebrews 11:1 (GNT)

In Romans 10:17, the Apostle emphasises that God’s Word must be preached; I quote, “So faith comes from hearing…”, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ. The point is, before you trust, you have to listen. But unless Christ’s  Word is preached, there is nothing to listen to. Thus, nothing will be heard.

Friends, we must be believers and continually exercise our faith by placing ourselves in the position to preach and hear God’s Word consistently. Our faith grows as we experience God’s presence in our lives. On so many occasions, the Holy Spirit leads us to the right Scripture, which speaks to the situation in which we are seeking God’s intervention.

So, preach God’s Word! Encourage someone in their faith. Take every opportunity to let the Good News of God’s salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ, be heard, including by your conduct.

Let us continue to experience God’s grace.

Prayer

Father, You know our shortcomings in failing to preach Your Word, the Good News. Forgive us and renew Your Spirit within us as we go forward in faith to preach Your Word. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
