“That the blessings of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” – Galatians 3:14 (NKJV)
We receive Abraham’s promises by faith.
We are all familiar with the book of Hebrews 11:1, which says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”, while the word “faith” appears more than three hundred and thirty times in the Bible, showing its noteworthiness to us as believers.
God’s blessing to Abraham (Genesis 12:1–3) says:
“…I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
The blessings of Abraham are made manifest practically in our lives when we believe and do not doubt. The blessings can be seen in good health, family, peace in the storm, sufficient finances to meet our needs, and so much more. The promised blessing of the Holy Spirit that we receive through faith makes all this possible.
Friends, the Lord wants to bless us and make our name great in our family, community, and nation. And for those who choose to curse us for being kingdom citizens, He promised to curse them in return. God’s curse destroys. Don’t you want to be a blessing to your family? Receive God’s promises today and live.
