Receive God’s Promises – Part 2

“For the promise is to you and your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” – Acts 2:39 (NKJV)

The Lord does not just bless – He multiplies! Genesis 13:2 says that Abraham “was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.” The Amplified Bible says that he was extremely rich.

Abraham was not just rich – he was extremely rich! He and his nephew Lot (who stayed by his side as he obeyed God and ventured out) were so blessed that their flocks, herds, tents, and all their possessions kept increasing. Genesis 13:6 AMP says, “…the land was not able to support them [that is sustain all their grazing and water needs] while they live near one another, for their possessions were too great for them to stay together.” What an awesome experience – having to move away due to increasing blessings! Brethren, the Lord wants to multiply you just as He multiplied Abraham!

Abraham was successful and blessed all of his days because “he did not doubt or waver in unbelief concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and [was] empowered by faith, giving glory to God, being fully convinced that God had the power to do what He had promised.”(Romans 4:20-21 – AMP). Absolutely nothing prevented Abraham from experiencing God’s blessings and promises because he chose to believe God’s Word and not what he could see or feel! God will bless you the same way when you call upon Him with full assurance that He is faithful and always keeps His promises. Let your faith arise to receive every promise of God.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank You that You are the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We thank You that it is not by power nor by might but by Your Spirit, according to Your Word. Help us to increase our faith by Your Spirit so that nothing will hinder us from receiving Your promises. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
