Redemption
1 John 1:3 (NKJV)
“That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us…” – 1 John 1:3 (NKJV)
It took the life of God’s only Son to achieve this phenomenon – ‘redemption’. He came as a babe, grew up as a child, and became a man just to let humans know that even though we walked away from our purpose, it was possible to be reinstated into the love of God.
Man was God’s prime creation, created especially for fellowship. However, because of the sin of disobedience, we lost that privilege. God loved man so unconditionally that He had a plan of redemption instituted through His son. He declared in His word that He was not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
Redemption meant that we would be able to regain our lost benefits. The first benefit is the forgiveness of sins. His manual (the Bible) declares that “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 – NKJV).
Another benefit is that of healing from any disease and any issue that would impede our health. This virtue was established in Malachi 4:2.
Divine protection was also promised to us in Psalm 46:1, where He declares He is our refuge and fortress. As long as we are in trouble, we have the distinct privilege of running to Him for help. We are also told that He will never leave nor forsake us.
He is also the one who provides for our every need. All He says is that we have to ask of Him. There are so many other benefits that we can enjoy because of our redemption, which was won for us at Calvary. It was a complete package that God the Father wanted to give us for life and living. Why don’t you come into His kingdom and benefit today?
Prayer
Father, thank You for Your plan of redemption. I accept that plan and receive Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. I confess every sin and thank You for Your forgiveness; in Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
