Redemption For Us

‘Jesus said…“I am the way, the truth, and the life…” – John 14:6 (NKJV)

God created a beautifully perfect world. However, because of jealousy, Lucifer, who is known as satan, caused man, the highest form of God’s creation, to be disobedient. Consequently, sin entered the world, causing man to be separated from God. The intimacy that God and man enjoyed in the Garden of Eden was severed. God longed to have fellowship with mankind again, and as a result, His plan was revealed in the form of providing a Redeemer.

God, who knows the beginning from the end, had this plan from the foundations of the earth. The shadow of which was revealed in the Garden after Adam and Eve were deceived by satan. God killed an animal and made clothing to cover their nakedness. Adam and Eve had sinned, and only blood could have been used to bridge the gap between them and God – the bridge for man to return and resume the intimate relationship. God has not forgotten His plan even as mankind continues to be deceived by the devil.

Mankind’s unrighteousness caused him to become a slave whose master is the devil; therefore, sinful man is in bondage. This was and still is not God’s desire for His prime creation. As slaves, our freedom had to be bought. God revealed from the beginning that blood must be shed for a slave of sin to be made free. Christ’s death was the price of our redemption. That price freed us from guilt, enslavement to sin, and the wrath of God.

Colossians 1:13-14 (NKJV) tells us of God’s unconditional love, saying, “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the Kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” The blood of bulls and calves could not pay the price, only Jesus’ blood. Romans 10:9 (NKJV) further states, “…if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

God knows our every need and has made provision through His infinite wisdom and power. He created the water before the fish, the land before the trees, and the redemption plan before the fall of man. His plans have never failed and will never fail. Trust Him; He is omnipotent.

The song says: ‘He paid the debt He did not owe, I owed the debt I could not pay.’

Thank you, God, for providing.
