Share your Faith – Part 1
Mathew 28:19-20 (NKJV)
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
Mathew 28:19-20 (NKJV)
Are you sharing your faith? Exercising faith is not just for personal benefits but it should be shared. Perhaps you’re not sharing your faith because you don’t know what to say. Or maybe you’re sharing the Word of God, but nothing seems to be happening; no one seems to be committing their lives to Jesus Christ. Are you wondering if you’re doing something wrong?
The truth is you can’t open someone’s heart to God’s Word – the Gospel. Only God can, by His Holy Spirit. The Apostle Paul wasn’t eloquent, but God used him because he depended on the Holy Spirit to guide him (1 Corinthians 2:1-5). God guided many others in the Bible as well, for example, Moses, who at first asked God to get someone else to lead the Israelites to the Promised Land. There is also Jonah, who didn’t think the wicked Ninevites deserved God’s mercy and tried to run in the other direction.
But what you should remember is that God does not call the equipped; He equips the called and as believers, we are all called to share what Jesus Christ has done. Some of Jesus’ last words on earth were, “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). Sharing our faith isn’t just an idea, it’s a command from God. And God is with us when we obey Him.
Let’s be committed and share our faith today. Someone’s waiting to hear the Good News.
Prayer:
Romans 10:13 says, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Heavenly Father, I know I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I trust and follow You as my Lord and Saviour. Guide my life and help me to do Your will. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
