“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” – Revelation 12:11 (NKJV)
As believers when we testify about the goodness of God or about His faithfulness, He is magnified. In addition, there may be someone sitting in the congregation who may be experiencing a situation and after hearing that testimony they become encouraged.
A few Sundays ago, I heard a testimony that ministered to me. I felt more than encouraged because at that time I felt as if I was the only one facing that particular situation. I realised that the testimony was for me, and I was grateful for hearing it.
Testimonies prove the devil to be the liar that he is – John 8:44 (NKJV). For this purpose, we are encouraged as believers to testify, because our testimonies help us to overcome the devil and stand firmly on the Word of God. Faith is increased in the individual, and other believers are now empowered with more boldness and confidence. They believe that if God can do it for that person, He can do it for me. Psalm 19:7 (NKJV) tells us, “…The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple”.
You can share your testimony amongst your colleagues at work when the Lord leads you to. Our testimonies about Jesus are like piercing arrows going to the heart of the issue. Jesus said if I am lifted up, I will draw all men to Me – John 12:32 (NKJV). As you lift up the Lord in praise in your testimony and He is magnified and glorified, know that transformation will take place in the individual’s life who hears and trusts in Him.
Prayer
Lord, help me to testify about Your goodness, faithfulness, and grace, so other believers’ faith in Your vineyard would be strengthened. And Lord, take all the glory, honour, and praise, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
