“If you are called to testify about something you have seen or that you know about, it is sinful to refuse to testify, and you will be punished for your sin.” – Leviticus 5:1 (NLT)
Our testimony is a gift from God. When God does something miraculous in our lives He does so not only for our benefit but for His glory. When we share our testimonies it allows others to be beneficiaries of all the wonders God has done for us. It aids in building up not only our confidence and faith in God but also the faith of all those who hear of His mercies.
When we testify we indicate our thankfulness to God which frees Him to continue to pour out His blessings unto us. David’s testimonies of God’s greatness were great acts of worship to God. David pleased God so much that he is called, “…a man after my own heart” – Acts 13:22 (NLT) and was blessed immensely. It is our duty to God as well as to others to testify of God’s grace and goodness. Our enemies are defeated when we testify – Revelation 12:11 (NIV).
So, let’s give God thanks every day for all He has done – for keeping us in the land of the living, protecting us from all diseases. Recently, people were ravaged with sickness (COVID-19) and some even succumbed but we remained in good health. This credit can only go to our Father in heaven. His Word says He will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast on Him – Isaiah 26:3 (NIV).
I offer thanks to God for showing me why it is so important to be saved and to be a recipient of His love and forgiveness. We shoudn’t ever want to loose God’s love that protected us through the trying seasons and continues to protect us and family even now. Great is His faithfulness.
