Surrender and Enjoy the Journey – Part 2

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “…plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

Sometimes, troubles, unwanted circumstances, and surprise attacks await us in this life. Will they harm us? Certainly not! God’s plans are not to harm us. Instead, He is working all things out for our good (Romans 8:28). He wants to give us a ‘good’ future. As we trust in God’s caring nature, let’s surrender, and we will enjoy the journey.

Further, our omniscient God knew hopelessness would present itself: hopeless situations, hopeless lives. But glory to God! He has always been ahead of us. His plans were already set to give us hope and not only hope but a future, too! We can say with confidence: “I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the Lord” (Psalm 118:17 -NKJV). Therefore, do not fear. Our future is bright. Refrain from worrying. Surrender and enjoy the journey.

Finally, surrendering to God could be quite uncomfortable, but it is worth it. God’s plan for us is bigger than what we could see or even imagine. As we put everything into our Master’s hands, we demonstrate our faith in Him. God knows best. He will reward our faith, adding His peace, purpose for living, and new meaning for life. Surrender to Almighty God and enjoy the journey of life.

Prayer

Dear God, I worry too much. Please forgive me. Help me give everything over to You and accept Your plans for my life so that I can truly enjoy this life; in Jesus’ name, Amen.
