The Blessings of Christ

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.” – Ephesians 1:3 (NLT)

Do you believe that every Christian is called to walk in the fullness of the blessings of the Gospel? It’s not a special privilege exclusive to apostles, bishops, pastors, evangelists, and teachers. Rather, it’s what is possible for everyone who is in Christ.

Make up your mind that this is going to be your experience. Declare every day that you walk in the fullness of the Gospel. This is the life of the new creation; it’s a life of advantage, abundant supply, and exceeding grace.

There is a line in the prayer that the Lord Jesus taught His disciples to pray, “Give us this day our daily bread” (Matthew 6:11). Our heavenly Father has a daily budget for each of us. He has a divine provision set aside just for you every single day! So, learn to enjoy what’s yours; walk in the fullness of your daily provisions.

Make a firm decision to enjoy your life in Christ and to live a great set-apart life. God has called you into a life of blessing according to 1st Peter 3:9, “…Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God wants you to do, and He will bless you for it.” (NLT). When we follow God’s precepts, He blesses us.

“Who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms” means that in Christ we have all the benefits of knowing God – being chosen for salvation, being adopted as His children, being forgiven, having insight, receiving the gifts of the Spirit, the power to do God’s will, and the hope of living forever with Him. The “heavenly realms” means that these blessings are eternal, not temporal.

As you are blessed, remember to give, serve, and reach others with the love of Christ. Help to distribute God’s Word, to improve and save lives, and bring them into the liberty of Christ, so they too can walk in the fullness of the blessings of Christ. Praise the name of the Lord!
