The Blood Covenant of Christ – Part 1

“For this cause Christ is the Mediator of a new covenant,…they that have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance” – Hebrews 9:15 (KJV)

The sins of the ages of the First Covenant, which had only figuratively been atoned for, had gathered up before God. A death was needed for these redemptions: In that death and blood-shedding of the Lamb of God, not only were these atoned for, but the power of all sin was forever broken.

Friends, we have experienced the chains of sins that had us bound and enslaved. Some of us would have been dead if not for the grace and mercy of a forgiving God who sent His Son Jesus to die on the cruel cross of calvary for our sins. The Holy Scriptures in 1 Peter 1:18-19 reminds us that “…ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversations received by traditions from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as a lamb without blemish and without spot” – (KJV). Be assured, brethren, we have been rescued, ransomed, and redeemed out of our old natural life under the power of sin, utterly and eternally.

Glory Hallelujah! The unblemished Blood of Jesus Christ has redeemed us from sin, poverty, death, wretchedness, sickness, and failures, and for that, we must be eternally grateful. His shed blood has set us free.

Prayer

Jehovah God, thank You for the power of the blood covenant that has caused us to be saved, redeemed, and justified by the blood of Christ. We are now joint heirs with Christ. Help us to reconcile men unto God, as we’re encouraged in 2 Corinthians 5:11-12, so that they also may partake of the benefits of the blood covenant, in Jesus’s name. Amen!
