The Invitation to Transformation

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind…” – Romans 12:2 (ESV)

Perhaps you look at your life and feel disqualified. You don’t have the education, the platform, the resources, the experience – you’ve failed too many times. Your past is too messy. Your present is too ordinary.

Can I tell you something? That’s precisely where God loves to work.

He chose fishermen, not scholars. He called a tax collector, not a priest. He revealed Himself to a Samaritan woman with a scandalous past, not to the religious elite. He used a young girl from Nazareth to bring the Saviour into the world.

Human limitations have never limited God. He specialises in taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary, not for our glory, but for His.

The invitation is simple: come and be with Jesus.

Not just to get things from Him, though He loves to give. Not just to learn about Him, though knowledge is good. But to be with Him. To sit in His presence. To let His love wash over you. To be transformed by proximity.

You don’t need a seminary degree to change the world. You don’t need a massive platform or impressive credentials. You need to be with Jesus consistently, intentionally, intimately. And when you are, the world will recognise it. That recognition will open doors that no degree ever could.

What would it look like to prioritise being with Jesus above everything else? Not as one item on your spiritual checklist, but as the foundation of your entire life?

What if you measured the success of your day not by what you accomplished but by the quality of time you spent in His presence?

What if you truly believed that the most productive, impactful, world-changing thing you could do is sit at His feet?

The religious leaders of Peter’s day (Acts 4) had everything the world values: education, position, power, and influence. But they lacked the one thing that mattered most: they hadn’t been with Jesus.

Don’t make the same mistake.

Come to Him today. Be with Him. Let Him transform you.

And then go out and let the watching world recognise who you are so that they too can be drawn to Him.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, use my limitations for Your glory. I offer You my weakness, my inadequacy, my ordinary life. Take it and do something extraordinary. Let the world see not my ability but Your power working through my inability. Most of all, Lord, let others recognise that I have been with You. May there be something about my life, my peace, my love, my courage, my words that bears the unmistakable imprint of time spent at Your feet, not for my reputation, but for Your glory.

I want to be with You, Jesus. Today and every day. Transform me by Your presence. Then send me out to impact a world that desperately needs to encounter You. In Your powerful and precious name I pray. Amen.
