“Whom having not seen, ye love, in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory. – 1 Peter 1:8 (KJV)
Rejoicing is enjoying God and His goodness to us.
Rejoicing is our response to God’s goodness filling our space.
God, our loving Father, wants to meet all our needs, promises to meet our needs, and has already met our needs through Christ Jesus. Psalms 89:15 (NKJV) says, “Blessed are those who…walk in the light of Your presence, Lord.” When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word, His glory is shone on our way. Hallelujah!
In life, there are trials and tribulations, bills and financial issues, but as we trust God in faith and be content, He will surely see us through. Remember, every obstacle comes as a challenge: ‘You cannot complain and petition at the same time.’ We need to hold fast to our beliefs. 1 Timothy 6:6 reminds “…godliness with contentment is great gain.” Remain steadfast.
Hebrews 13:5 (KJV) also says, ‘Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.” And we read in Psalm 4:7 that God has put gladness in our hearts. Thus, there is joy in the presence of the Lord. Walk in His presence each day.
Believers, there is no failure in God, and there is nothing like when you are contented. Rejoice, we have joy, we have strength, and peace of mind. God is ‘more than enough.’
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You as I call upon Your name. I will declare Your deeds among the people. My heart will rejoice in You because You have been my helper. I will sing praises unto You and talk of all Your wondrous works as I continue to be satisfied and content with what I have. As I humble myself before You, O Lord, grant me the courage to speak Your praise. May my lips be opened to proclaim Your glory. Thank You, God, for the joy, contentment, and strength I received from seeking You. You are truly a rewarder of those who diligently seek You, In the name of Jesus. Amen.
