“But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead…” – Ephesians 2:4-5 (NLT)
Love is one of the most powerful forces in the universe. It heals wounds, gives hope, and brings people to God.
In a world full of disagreement, suffering, and disappointment, God invites us to live and walk in His love. Today, we look at the power of love and how unbreakable it truly is. It’s essential to understand that the Bible describes love as an activity and a way of life, not just a feeling. It points out: “Love is patient, love is kind, it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” (1st Corinthians 13:4-7).
Friends, God’s love is everlasting and patient. He does not quickly give up on His people, and He shows us compassion when we least deserve it. This kind of love reflects God’s character, and the kind of great love we should spread to others unconditionally.
When we feel undeserving, remember that nothing can separate us from God’s love, which is based on His promises rather than our behaviour. As a result, when we accept God’s love by giving our hearts to Him, we must live it out because love has the power to heal shattered hearts, restore relationships, drive out fear, give us the courage to forgive, and, most importantly, endure difficult seasons.
Today, think about how you can show someone God’s love in this modern world that can cause them to turn to Him.
Prayer
Thank You for Your unwavering love, Heavenly Father. Teach us to love with the same patience, kindness, and faithfulness that You do. Please help us to remember and understand that nothing can prevent You from loving us. Let us be filled with Your love so that we might bless and heal others, in the name of Jesus. Amen
