Trust Him When Times Are Tough

Trust Him When Times Are Tough

2 corinthians 1:3-4 (NKJV)

“Blessed be the God, even Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, The Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble,….” – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NKJV)

The Bible promises this: tough times are temporary but God’s love is not – God’s love lasts forever – Jude 1:21. So what does that mean? Just this: From time to time, everybody faces tough times, and so will you and I, and when tough times arrive, God will always stand ready to protect and heal us. Tough times may be caused by ill health and disease, or a combination of these factors.

Psalm 147:3 promises, “He heals the brokenhearted but does not promise that He heals them instantly. Usually, it takes time and a process for God to fix things. If you are facing tough times, face them with God by your side. If you find yourself afflicted in any way, remember God’s promise. He will not leave you or forsake you – Deuteronomy 31:6. Face your troubles with God by your side. He will work things out, just as He has promised. He will do it His way and in His time. Trust Him.

When you experience tough times, a positive attitude and a willing and obedient heart to God’s Word will help you through.

Prayer

Father, You are my strength and my protector. When I am troubled, You comfort me. When I am discouraged, You lift me up. When I am afraid, You deliver me. When I am sick and afflicted, You heal me. Let me turn to You, Lord, when I am weak. In times of adversity, let me trust Your plan and Your will for my life. Your love is infinite, as is Your wisdom. Whatever my circumstances, Dear Lord, let me always give the praise, the thanks, and the glory to You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
