Victory Is Our Name

“O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us…but our eyes are upon You.” – 2 Chronicles 20:12 (NKJV)

Friends, we are fighting from the standpoint of victory, as we are reminded in Ephesians 6:12 (KJV): “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” In 2 Corinthians 10:4, we are told: “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.”

Jehoshaphat boldly prayed in front of the house of the Lord, reaffirming Solomon’s prayer and God’s faithfulness. Like him, we must believe every word that comes from the mouth of God and stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. God answers prayers. He cannot lie. Our battle is not physical; we are called to stand still, call upon the name of the Lord, and keep our eyes fixed on Him, knowing that our help comes from God. Our warfare is spiritual. We must tap into the Holy Spirit. Over two thousand years ago, God secured our victory on the cross. He took the keys of death and life, ensuring our triumph. Therefore, our trust must be wholly in Him.

I speak from a position of victory. When the enemy thought he had overtaken me and my life was finished, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, whom I serve, appeared and delivered me. In 2024, I saw God’s mighty hand in my life. Disease in various forms attacked me, battles unlike any I had faced before, but I clung to God’s promise: “I will not die but live and proclaim the works of the Lord” – Proverbs 118:17. I am here in 2025.

To the people of God: this is not the time to ‘play church.’ Stand firm, trust God, and witness His salvation as He works on your behalf. Victory is not merely an outcome; it is your identity in Christ.
