Wealth Creation Touted as a Godly Mandate

– as Women Investment Webinar Continues for the Second Night

“THE POWER TO PRODUCE WEALTH COMES FROM GOD!” if nothing else resonated. This is one of the many salient points that stood out from the second night of the First Assembly of God Wortmanville Women’s Investment Webinar where discussions revolved around wealth creation.

These discussions were spearheaded by Banking and Financial Management Specialists Minister Karen Assanah and Minister Adele Farrier, who both have more than 25 years of experience in this field of accounting.

Minister Farrier started off the night, speaking extensively on the fact that wealth creation is a holy calling and a God-given gift that will lift people and nations out of poverty. She went on to explain the keys to wealth creation which she considers as godly and foundation principles.

These are basically obedience and honouring God by being a good and faithful steward (good manager). Defining the term wealth, she simply said, “wealth is not how much you make but it’s how much you keep” and that brought to light points on how we can go about doing so.

She further referenced the scripture, Deuteronomy 8:18 which states that we must, “remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth,” In so doing, we have a responsibility to believe that we can have wealth and obey the commands.

Meanwhile, the watchword ‘mindset’ continues to reverberate as the legacy which women should seek to inherit and pass on. The correct MINDSET, in this case, will allow for proper creation of wealth, which will be well managed and sufficient to impact and change lives and lifestyles.

Therefore we must change our mindset, get rid of the victim mentality, that is, stop making excuses, take action now and be the pioneers of our generation. It starts with the way we think.

It was also keenly highlighted that without the spiritual guidance of the Holy Spirit and obedience to the word of God, the intention to create wealth may be in vain.

Other Business, Accounting and Finance specialists, Ministers Samantha Edwards, Celicia Paruag and Shevone Corbin later joined in via a panel discussion to contribute their perspectives towards the topic. Together, this five-woman panel emphasised kingdom principles such as tithing, sowing seeds, and storing up (investing and saving) as being major drivers of wealth creation. Whether in business or working a full-time job, it is quite possible to create wealth.

Minister Karen Assanah singled out the need for multiple streams of income to be established. This strategy towards wealth creation has its benefits, some of which include the allowance for various sources of cash, a stand-by in the event of one source of income failing and reaching financial goals early. This allows us to be in control of meeting every day demands and reduces exposure to risk.

The panel also addressed audience questions on how to safeguard an inheritance, as well as how challenges can be overcome given that women are often challenged with other roles and responsibilities which may not make it easy for them to create wealth.   Undoubtedly, women tuned into this second night of the webinar were gracefully guided in their respective paths as they ponder on their hope to create wealth for their future generations.

The second night’s robust discussion now makes way for the third and final night which will culminate this grand platform, teaching women to reclaim their inheritance with boldness and by faith. The event can be viewed via the First Assembly of God Wortmanville Facebook and YouTube pages, with the live stream commencing at 19:00hrs.
