What’s On The Inside?

2 Chronicles 6:19 – Yet regard the prayer of Your servant and his supplication, O Lord my God, and listen to the cry and the prayer which Your servant is praying before You

God’s Word gives answers to all questions. Many times when we pray, it is for our health, family, finances and country. The bottom-line is, these are issues that are ‘in our face’.

What do we do about the invisible part of our being? In 3 John 1:2 are words that present a need for deep meditation. Do we pay attention to the prosperity of our soul? Prosperity does not only refer to possessing money. It also speaks of wholeness, happiness, health, peace and love. Jesus says in John 10:10b, “I have come that they may have life, and that more abundantly.” The prosperity of our souls must be one of personal priority. We must PRAY about this area of our lives, daily.

The heart helps us to take our first step in our journey with God (Romans 10:10). Remember the parable of the Sower that illustrates the HEART as the soil that reacts to the seed (Word of God)? The heart is the seat of our EMOTIONS. A transformed heart is willing to submit to God’s Way since the heart fuels the MIND. Let’s use Philippians 4:8 to guide us everyday. David understood himself when he prayed in Psalm 51:10.

As we pray for ourselves let us remember these important areas of our lives, our Mind, Will and Emotions. Let us pray for a fruitful spiritual life, a flourishing soul and a mind that is willing to do the good work that God has called us to. Let us sing with conviction, “It is well with my soul.”
