“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you”- James 1:5 (NIV)
The path of motherhood is often uncharted territory. Each child is unique, each stage brings new questions, and the weight of responsibility can feel intense. As mothers, you are constantly making decisions, offering guidance, and seeking the best for your children. In these moments, wisdom is an invaluable gift.
Think of Jochebed, Moses’ mother, who wisely hid her son to save him. Consider the wisdom of the women who followed Jesus, supporting His ministry with their resources and understanding. Their actions demonstrate that seeking and applying wisdom is crucial.
James’ promise is clear: if we lack wisdom, we can ask God, and He will give it generously. This is not a promise of instant answers, but rather an assurance that God is willing and able to guide you. He sees your heart, your desire to nurture and lead well, and He offers His divine insight.
My Sisters! As you navigate the complexities of motherhood, remember this promise. Turn to God in prayer, seek His wisdom in His word, and trust that He will guide your steps. May you be filled with wisdom that comes from above, enabling you to lead and love your children with grace and understanding.
Prayer
Dear Lord, we acknowledge that we often need wisdom in our roles as mothers. Thank You for Your promise to give generously to those who ask. We pray for Your divine wisdom to guide our decisions, our words, and our actions as we raise our children. Help us to discern Your will and to walk in Your ways. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
