You Belong to God

Psalm 34: 22 The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, and none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.

When God redeems You, He takes you under his wings and protects you.

In the Bible, there is an account of a king called  Balthazar. One night Balthazar held a great party for his one thousand nobles, his lords, his wives and concubines. At his party, the gold and silver vessels that his father (Nebuchadnezar) had stolen from God’s house in Jerusalem, were used by him and his guest to drink wine (Daniel 5:1-2).

This act displeased God. He valued those vessels very much because they belonged to Him. That night, God wrote the fate of Balthazar on the walls of the palace. Balthazar was murdered that same night and a new king was appointed (Daniel 5:30).

As a redeemed child of God, the principle you can stand on is the Word of God. He said, “Touch not Mine anointed, and do My prophets no harm.” 1 Chronicle 16:22

You may be going through a difficult time, at work, at home, with your family, or even intrapersonal conflicts that are testing your faith. I want you to know that you belong to God, and you can be sure that God has too much invested in you to let you be destroyed. Everytime the devil tries to mislead you, remember what the Lord said,” But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and He that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art Mine.”(Isaiah 43:1).

As we end this second week of fasting and praying, let’s remember we are God’s redeemed and He will battle for us as we reach out to Him. Continue to spend personal time with Him. You belong to Him.
