A few years ago, I wanted to attend a conference overseas. At that time, I did not have adequate financial resources to cover the airfare and all the costs associated with the event. So, I brought my concerns before the Lord in prayer and received direction from Him. I felt led to take my travel document into the presence of the Lord, and I did so on the first Sunday of the new week.
A couple of days after, in the same week, I received a telephone call stating that someone would purchase an airline ticket for me. Hallelujah, my prayers were answered! Progress was being made towards the accomplishment of my goal to attend the conference. The next blessing I received was the funding to cover the full conference registration. I was also able to share a hotel room with other attendees, thus reducing the accommodation cost.
I am sharing this part of my faith journey to encourage you who will listen to or read this inspiration.
Know today that God has not forgotten you. When you exercise your faith in Him, He will cause doors to be opened, and you will step into places where you would not have been able to go in your own strength and with the resources you possess.
God’s blessings are not limited to certain persons, but He will reward everyone according to their faith. The first step of faith you can make is to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour (Ephesians 2:8-9). When you develop a personal relationship with your heavenly father, you will learn to trust Him to work out every situation, especially the ones that look impossible (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Yes, your faith in God will work for you!
