Your Lifestyle Faith – Part Two

Your Lifestyle Faith – Part Two

2 Corinthians 13:5 (NIV)

Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves….”

2 Corinthians 13:5 (NIV)

How do you know that your faith is real?

In Hosea 4:6 (NIV), we read ignorance is a killer of faith, and the lack of knowledge of God and His Word can destroy our faith and cause God to reject us. Thus, we can err if we don’t know the Scriptures. Moreover, in 2 Corinthians 13:5, we have learnt that we must examine ourselves to confirm whether we are in the faith.

Brethren, take an honest look at the state of your faith to determine where you are, and if required, make those adjustments to receive the victory. We are admonished to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7), which speaks of how we live our life, our behaviour, and conduct and for us to fix our eyes on what is eternal. What we see here is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Our Creator made it so that our faith works much the same way our bodies work. It needs God’s Word to grow and flourish, so we must spend time in God’s Word. Faith has no life without words; it has no fan to flame it, to give purpose and directions. We are the ones who must practice reading and acting. It is an important and essential component of humanity. Faith as small as a mustard seed can evoke good life-changing works. The emphasis is on the quality, not the quantity.

My friends:

  1. Faith helps us to achieve our goals as we visualise and practice what we read.
  2. Faith is the real air we breathe and our essential key to spiritual victory.
  3. Faith is important in regard to Jesus’ Second Coming.

Jesus asked a question, “However, when the Son of man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” – Luke 18:8 (NIV). The danger that we face is that our faith in Christ and our love for Him and for each other will be swallowed up by opposition or by the thin ordinance of our daily lives. We can be effective by reading and meditating on God’s Word, worshipping, praying, fasting, positive speaking, and growing in godly qualities. Let it be your lifestyle.
