‘Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, “My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure.” – Isaiah 46:10 (NKJV)
God is not a fortune-teller, a soothsayer, or a mere predictor. He doesn’t have a crystal ball. He knows what’s coming because He plans what’s coming and He performs what He plans.
Yes, God has the rightful authority, the freedom, the wisdom, and the power to bring about everything that He intends to happen. And therefore, everything He intends to come about does come about. Which means God ordains and governs all things.
Beloved, take comfort in the fact that God knows the end from the beginning because He is much more than a passive observer of events. It is He who declares how things turn out before they ever happen. God declares not just natural events but human events – even things that are not yet done.
We can have tremendous courage in our God when we understand and remember who He is and what He does. His counsel alone shall stand. His works and plans never fail, because He will do all to His pleasure and perfect plan. God isn’t just watching the entire parade of history; He is directing the parade – even the plans for your life.
Therefore, God’s people must remember this about the Lord: He knows the end from the beginning and is in control over all things! He weaves every circumstance – joyful or painful – into His larger redemptive plan. Even when we cannot see the full picture, we can trust that His purpose is active, present, and unfolding for His glory and our transformation.
