“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned…” – Isaiah 43:2 (NIV)
Most of us know the account of Nebuchadnezzar and the three Hebrew boys (Daniel 3). The King had built a golden image and ordered everyone to bow down and worship it. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego worshipped Jehovah, God only, however, and therefore, by virtue of their conviction and belief, they were thrown into the fire, which was made seven times hotter because of the young men’s belief. What intensity!
What or who is your Nebuchadnezzar today? Is there a situation or circumstance in your life right now that’s making you feel you’re going under? Does it feel like you are fighting a losing battle? Listen! We all face difficult times in our lives, but remember, nothing is too hard for our God to do, as stated in Jeremiah 32:17.
When you trust God wholeheartedly, in spite of what you may see with the naked eye, He comes through for you. The Hebrew boys did not waver in their belief in God; they stood their ground, and God delivered them. Their posture was our God is able to deliver us from any burning fiery furnace, “But if not, let it be known…we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship your gold image…” (Daniel 3:18). What is the level of your faith, today?
Even if your faith is as small as a mustard seed, trust God today. The king himself confessed that he saw a fourth man present in the fire. Jesus is with you. The fiery furnace did not consume Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, Jesus was present, and He is with you today.
Our Heavenly Father can transform your seemingly impossible situation. You need only to stand your ground and believe God’s Word is paramount. His Words are “Yea” and “Amen,” nothing should be taken away, and nothing should be added to it. Whatever God says will come to pass. The storms of life may be raging, but be assured that God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that you ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). He is only a prayer away. Call upon Him.
Prayer
Father and God, I call upon You today to intervene in my situation. Your Word reminds me that You are always with me, and I believe that. Hear my prayer and attend unto my cry. I lift up my eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help. My help comes from You. Thank You for working on my behalf and fixing the impossible matters that are beyond me, in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
